1. Promotion of City Councils Cooperation: • To provide support to programmes that advance key mayoral priorities for Maputo and Jakarta • To Identify other fields that can generate cooperation opportunities, particularly in the areas of administrative management • To establish mechanism of contact and organize reciprocal visits and sharing of technical information as appropriate for the efficient implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding • To promote interchanges and training programs for staff and management teams 2. Trade and Small and Medium Sized Enterprises • To encourage interaction between businessmen of the two cities, in coordination with the private sector organizations and Chambers of Commerce, to foster opportunities for business opportunities, the creation of joint ventures or direct investment 3. Tourism Promotion • To serve as a conduit of information and promotional materials between the tourism official services seeking the increase of tourism and travel between the two cities 4. Urban Planning and Infrastructures • To share information on urban planning, programs and projects for city sustainable development • To support interchanges and training programmes for staff and managers towards the improvement of the existing services delivery on the above areas 5. Roads Construction and Maintenance • To support capacity building over strategic programmes in regards to construction, maintenance and management of public roads systems 6. Parks and Gardens Rehabilitation • To share experiences on public parks and gardens maintenance or rehabilitation and the preservation of historical sites and buildings 7. Sports, Cultural and Social Activities • To identify common themes of both cities that can generate initiatives to further promote sports, social and cultural relationships Public order and civil defense 8. Public order and civil defense • To share experiences on public order, civil defense and by-laws enforcement.
